How We Work

How We Work

Through the provision of farm-grown, meal-ready shares of produce delivered weekly to participants doorsteps, and a monthly cooking night hosted in partnership with local restaurants, we invite folks on probation and parole in Multnomah County to join farmers, chefs, and community as we collaboratively grow resilient, culturally diverse, and Earth-centered food systems.
Farm Partnerships

We are building diverse partnerships with local farms organized around the intention and focus on growing resilient, culturally diverse, and sustainable food systems, to nourish the Earth, our families, and our communities.

Freedom Shares

The project will support farmers directly and undertake the gathering and distributing of farm-grown, produce-based meal-kits to folks involved with Oregon's carceral system.

Community Cooking Nights

Partnering with local restaurants, we will offer monthly community cooking nights gather, honor, and celebrate a diversity of food wisdom, and grow and share skills in food prep and preservation, recipe building, and eating for personal and global wellbeing.

Freedom Harvest

Freedom Harvest is a seasonal project that grows inter-generational food resilience with justice-involved communities. Through the provision of farm-grown, meal-ready shares of produce delivered weekly to participants doorsteps, and a monthly cooking night hosted in partnership with local restaurants, we invite birth-givers on probation and parole to work with farmers, chefs, and community to share and re-tool knowledge around food preparation and preservation, recipe creation, and the power of a shared meal.

Framers Flourish

By directing the largest share of our proceeds straight to farmers, we invest first in the Earth, and those who steward it wisely.

Families Grow Stronger

By helping families with meal planning, ready to prepare kits, recipes, and social support, all members of our familes eat better, sustainably.
